09/13/05 - The video has wrapped and the film is off to the lab. Thanks to The Basement for coming through with the location on such short notice. Editing now begins in full force
08/30/05 - Made it back from Mississippi in one piece. It was long and hot and I ain't just talkin about the weather. Video scheduled to be wrapped on Sept. 11. Editing and post work has already begun with the band footage. Traveling to Chattanooga for 10 days to aide Brian Cagle (Aftermarket/Free Rock City Productions) in the production of his new film Ruthie.
08/05/05 - 1st. half of shoot is complete. So far so good. Traveling to Mississippi in 2 weeks to start on the story/concept half. Casting is 99% complete. Expect a return of US Justin & the premiere of the Rock & Roll Detective in this. Video will be a mix of video, film, and animation.
07/15/05 - Been quite for a while, but not for lack of setting up work. Next week work begins on a video for The Immortal Lee County Killers in support of their new album. It's gonna be a nice mix of punk/blues/lsd & karate. There will be some live elements as well. Most of which will be shot on 7/21/05 9pm @ The Radio Cafe, in Nashville, Tn. The concept/story half TBA.
02/08/05 - An update at last. The trailer for SD is finally up. Go to the SD page to watch it. Still needs a little tweaking. Will finish today. The film itself is done... done... done. Reports from the Chattanooga screening were good. It may pop up again in other places. In early stages of next project. The new day job has opened up all kinds of possibilities of I can now acomplish technically.
10/12/04 - SD complete, for the most part anyway. It's world premiere will be on10/16/04 at Lamar's in Chattanooga, Tn. Click here for all the details. Go and support some shit, bitches!
09/28/04 - SD post is nearly complete. Scrambling to get a post done by the end of the week. Had to travel back to Chattanooga to record some new narration. And due to the shitty mic (not the Senheiser) I used, none of it was useable. Looks like another trip down is in the future. Should have a trailer up soon.
08/08/04 - Still chopping away in Final Cut. Almost have rough cut completed. Sound design work started 2 weeks ago. Long, Long, Long. Coming together nicely though. Reworking the FILMS page on the site. Should be ready in a few more days. Every film on the site will have it's own page, eventually.
07/18/04 - The film is back in house (see pic) and editing is now in full swing. Some stuff came out better than expected. May have to do some pick-ups and reshoot a few things? Not quite sure yet, have to wait and see a little further on in the editing. That's film baby, you never know till you get it back. You can't stop the rock!!
07/01/04 - Sapience Dirge production has wrapped. The film is off to the lab. Should be back in house in the next 10 days. Working hard and fast to get the SD page on-line. Taking longer than expected due to decision to include every aspect prodcution, from script, to set pics, in depth details on how/why we did what, etc., Interactive and educational too, bitches.
06/24/04 - And so it has begun. Sapience Dirge production is in full swing. Day one has passed. It was hot and long, but after 7 hours we manged to get 70% of film is the can. Traveling down to Chattanooga on 6/26/04 to finish the rest. SD will have it's own page in the next day or so.....
05/27/04 - Sapience Dirge pre-production is in full swing. Shooting will commence 3rd week of June in Nashville and Chattanooga, TN. Casting is complete, the details will be released later. Still ironing out some kinks with the new web design. Looks fine in Safari & Internet Explorer 5, not so good in Internet Explorer 6, Netscape? God only knows.
04/25/04 - ApeDrapeFilms.com v2.0 is now on-line. No more Geo-Shitties page builder. Better streaming video. Better layout. More stuff to do and look at. A merch page is the works, mail list, message board, etc... Mo, Mo, Mo.....

02/07/04 - Jesus H Christ! Two
updates in less than an month. Any less and you'll think you've been cheated.
The final draft is completed and preproduction is now officially underway.
Project's working title is "Rubber Sole", but that is subject
to change and most likely will. This film will about double/triple the
scale of "the duty free" which ain't sayin' much, but when you're
working with film and have no money a popcorn fart can sink you. One day
we'll get with the program and shoot on video. But what would be the fun
in that? Needless to say there won't be any rambling Cassavettes improv
here Danielle. Strictly story boards, bitches. Every shot planned. Right
now still on schedule for summer '04 shoot. Knock on wood. Over and out....
01/15/04 - For the two or three of you out there
that actually give a shit, here's a news flash for ye'. Lots of stops,
starts, and tons of personal b.s. has been through the H. Q. since last
update. But, with it being an new year 'en shit, hopefully most of that
can be flushed down the fucking toilet. Such language and bad spelling.
Anyway, the site is getting reworked, as best as it can anyway. Still
stuck with geo-shitties page builder. Have aquired Dreamweaver MX. It
ain't exactly user friendly. So, the proper redo is still floating around
out there in the ether somewhere. Someday it will be done. During the
past 7 - 8 months since the H. Q. move we did manage to get something
shot and in the can. Not sure what's going to become of it. The whole
project was to test out different film stocks for the next official ADF
project. That's right bitches we're still using film. Well, the tests
have been completed and the files are resting quitely on the MAC. They
may see the light of day at some point. Finalizing the 3rd draft
of next short. Planning for an Summer '04 shoot. Provided we don't get
dealt the jack again. Have to wait and see. Over and out.....
